2022 FLORIDA CUP ![]() 2023 FLORIDA CUP SUMMARYTeam League Play Team league play consists of 6 players from each team competing at the same time on 3 courts, as follows:
Teams registering for the Florida Cup register as part of a complete team. Players who are in areas where there is a USTP local league must check with their local league coordinator about joining the local league in order to participate in the Florida Cup. Players in areas where there is not yet a USTP local league may be allowed to participate in the Florida Cup, as determined by the Cup Director. Each team participating in the Florida Cup must have one captain who the Cup Director can communicate with about the tournament. The team captain speaks for the team. While a team may have more than one captain (a co-captain for example), there shall be 1 person who is designated as team captain. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() DATESThe Florida Cup is a 1 day event with start times based on your team's division.
DIVISIONSThere are four divisions. The Cup Director may move teams if they are in the incorrect division. For areas with local leagues, the local league coordinator determines what team travels there for each division. For areas without a local league, it is expected that the team will place itself in the proper division. If more than one team from an area without a local league wishes to play in the Florida Cup, the Cup Director may require them to play a playoff at the local level to determine the team that will represent the team in the Florida Cup.
MEET STRUCTUREAll play will be round robin. Whether it is 1 grouping or more than 1 grouping will depend on the number of teams registered for each division. It is expected that your team will play a minimum of 6 games on each court (3 rounds of 2 games each). Each game will be to 11, win by 1. Each round is 3 courts of play – 6 players for each team playing at the same time.
FACILITIESThe Florida Cup will be played at the Pictona Pickleball Facility located at 1060 Ridgewood Ave., Holly Hills, Florida. All players attending the facility must comply with facility requirements. Last update: 01/28/23

The Florida Cup 2023 March 18, 2023 / 8am to 6pm
Florida Team League Play - State Championship
* Due to the fantastic response to the Florida Cup, there may be more than one team seeking to register from overlapping geographic areas. In this case, the tournament director may require a local playoff to determine which team will represent the area. By February 17, 2023, the tournament director will let team captains know whether they will need a local playoff for their area. We recommend having flexible travel plans (including refundable tickets and lodging) that can be refunded or cancelled. If a team is knocked out of the Florida cup through a local playoff, Florida Cup registration fees will be refunded. The Florida Cup is not responsible for any travel-related expenses, including airfare or lodging. Last update: 01/23/23
